Transition from egg to dairy
Driven by new customer opportunities, we used the same technology to concentrate egg whites to develop one of the first whey protein products in the market.
Vitalus Nutrition Inc. is formed
In recognition of the demand for quality dairy ingredients, Vitalus was established to develop the global market for dairy proteins.
First product extension
Supporting the needs of customers wanting a heat-stable MPC, we developed an MPC1800 HT to increase the heat stability for hot beverage applications.
Reaching new market segments
An increase in demand for high protein, low lactose ingredients led to the development of low lactose MPC1850 and milk protein isolate (MPI) for the active lifestyle and healthy aging segments.
Growing with our customers
We expanded our footprint by increasing our processing capacity in Abbotsford, BC, and we built a second facility in Winnipeg, MB, doubling our total capacity.
Reaching new generations
We expanded our product offering into the Infant and Growing Up segment with the launch of VITAGOS™ (Galacto-oligosaccharides).
